No. There is no sign-up, no sign-in and no password. Open the app and it works. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.

Two reasons, and both happen on your device. It sorts meetings by how far they are from you, and it watches your speed so the app can lock itself while you are moving. Without location there is no way to tell that you are driving, and that safety lock cannot work — so the app asks for the permission rather than quietly disabling a control that protects people. Your coordinates are never sent to us. To find meetings nearby, the app requests a large map square that your whole area shares, never your exact position.

Stop moving. It unlocks on its own below about 3 mph. There is deliberately no way to dismiss it while the device is travelling — including for passengers, because there is no way for an app to tell a passenger from a driver. Set your destination before you set off.

Please email us with the meeting name and location and we will look into it. Meeting information comes from local service bodies and area intergroups, and it ages — meetings move, change time, and close. Always confirm with your local service office before travelling any distance.

Coverage depends on whether the local service body publishes its meeting list in a format we can read. We are steadily adding regions. If your area is empty, email us and tell us where you are — it genuinely helps us prioritise.

It is available in a limited set of countries and is expanding. The app is deliberately not distributed in countries where attending a recovery meeting, or being identified as attending one, could put someone at risk.

It is free, with no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no adverts. There is no paid tier and no plan to add one.

Nothing. No account, no name, no email, no advertising identifier, no analytics. Your location stays on your device. Requests to our database pass through a proxy that removes your IP address before they arrive, so our database provider never receives it. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

There is nothing to delete, because there is nothing stored. Saved trips live only in the app's own storage on your phone; deleting the app removes them.

No. AnonyMaps is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous or Al-Anon. It is an independent directory that displays meeting information those fellowships publish themselves.
